Gods' home country. Beautiful capital of water. Ground of elegant history. In 1973, Komatsu electric industry stepped toward one small step here in Izumo. The business of repairing the pumps for agriculture ( with one small tool box only) expanded to the business of selling the pumps, manufacturing the switchboards, and finally dealing with the water-and-sewage instrumentation system.   From the time of foundation, our target has been narrowed down to the environmental problem, and our soul tackling the water which is the source of our lives, has not been still changing. We have been gazing at new relation of human being, nature, and science. In 1985, we developed the high-speed sheet shutter "MONBAN", which opened and closed automatically after detecting a human or vehicle, by concentrating every staff's technical power and creativity for the first time in Japan. Owing to our achivements of opening up the market from zero, we got the "Medium and Small Business Research Institute Prize" and the "New Business Grand-Prix" and our product has been recognized as the product which bears a big mission. In 1992, we announced the water-and-sewage measurement, control and observation system "YAKUMO SUISHIN", which we had been researching and developing previously. After that, it has been upgraded to "NEW YAKUMO SUISHIN" and further into "Package YAKUMO SUISHIN", and we got the 54th "Notable Invention authorized by the Science and Technology Agency". That is the valuable fruit of many years of our hard efforts. Our business philosophy is " Funny! Amusing! Enjoyable! Happy!". We achieve the purpose and target which we hold up, evolve even the sense of values, and always creat the new field.
